Bioshock Infinite is the third game in the Bioshock franchise. But unlike the two predecessors Infinite acts as a precursor of sorts. As opposed to the dingy fallen city you would expect, you are greeted by the soaring heights of Columbia. Ken Levine and Irrational Games have been drip feeding us the details over the past few years, accumulating many E3 and other prestigious awards, which has all culminated in the marvel that lies in front of us now, and although we did have some waiting to do after the 3 unexpected delays applied to the release.

GamesRadar - Irrational Games has promised that BioShock Infinite will be getting three story-driven add-ons over the next few months. In fact, you can buy a Season Pass right now to automatically get each DLC pack as its released and save some money in the process. Given the games ending, however, it might seem difficult to imagine where any more plot could possibly fit into the narrative.

"The truth is stranger than fiction," says the adage, and Bioshock Infinite is no exception. The game is on the street, has garnered praise from the press , leads the sales numbers, and Internet forums explode with the different explanations of complex and subjective end.
With this post I will try to give a different perspective to the issue and show how the rich universe created by Irrational Games is based on scientific theories that were born early in the century, a period in which the title takes place.

Structurally, and despite its name, BioShock Infinite feels like a conclusion a representative of a pure, narrative-driven one-player game of a type being made less and less by large studios, and one of the last significant releases of this console cycle (the Xbox 360 version, which I played, is lovely to look at, but PC graphics on Ultra settings represent a massive improvement in texture detail and lighting). It also provides a conclusion of sorts to the BioShock project, although one should never say never when commercial concerns impinge. After a long development cycle and a marketing blitz, Irrational Games will have ambitious sales targets. This is a big game for Take-Two Interactive, especially after the failure of its second-tier publishing rival THQ: it is notable that the final, three-times-revised release date for BioShock Infinite did not slip past the final retail weekend of Take-Twos full year.
